Icodel Srl, through its engineering department, is able to design mechanical parts and components that can be integrated with electronics. 

The design phase begins with a feasibility study where the specifications and performance that the mechanical components must meet are analysed and, as a result, the materials and types of processing to be performed are chosen; subsequently, using Invertor and Nastran software, 3D models of the mechanical components and their assemblies are created, performing, with FEM techniques, the structural analysis, simulation and calculation of mechanical stresses and related stress diagrams.

Extracting the construction drawings from the 3D models, Icodel Srl manufactures the designed parts in its own Mechanical Workshop.

Icodel Srl is able to execute mechanical work such as sheet metal cutting and bending, as well as welding, using its own machinery, creating new mechanical components that meet project requirements or modifying existing parts.

Icodel Srl is able to design and manufacture formed and connectorized cables, both for power distribution and signals, RF and optical fibres, applicable in the civilian, military, railway and medical fields. All the processing is carried out according to the specifications requested by the customer.

Within the activities of Icodel Srl, the realization of structured cabling plays a major role.

On the customer’s specification, connectorized and non-complex cables are also realized (internal rack cabling) which allow the final user to have a ready-to-use product of high quality and compliant with the original specifications.

Also in this case, the product is realized in direct and continuous contact with the customer in order to find the correct quality/price ratio of the finished product and thus have a correct technical and economic response to the customer’s needs.

One of the main activities of Icodel Srl is the design and production of Consoles, Racks and Electrical Panels with related accessories, both for civilian and military use.

The high-quality mechanical structures are designed to meet the most stringent requirements in the mechanical, electrical and electromagnetic fields of the civilian and military market.

The structures can then be wired and equipped with high-technology devices, of internal design, purchase or customer supply, resulting in products adaptable to any mechanical and functional need of the customer.

The finished Racks and Consoles are subjected to electric insulation tests during the test phase and, upon request of the customer, special tests (resistance to vibrations and shock, electromagnetic emissions, etc.) can be performed with the supply of the related certifications.

In this regard, Icodel Srl can boast the supply of fully equipped and certified racks currently operating on numerous naval units of the Italian Navy and foreign Navy.

Icodel Srl carries out environmental and EMC tests in compliance with major international standards.

In particular, we are able to perform EMC tests according to MIL-STD-461 and environmental tests according to MIL-STD-810 and MIL-STD-610 for the certification of military equipment.

We also conduct shielding efficiency tests in accordance with MIL-STD-285 for shielded rooms, shelters, and equipment used in COMSEC and TEMPEST applications.
